2007 Pinot Noir.(reviewed for the 100th time on November 12,2014). Old and soft. The question comes up does it stink or is it character? It is character. Secondary aromas of exotic dried fruits like sutana raisins or too dry figs. Best with well aged meat and roasts complemented by a brown gravy of prunes and port.
2002 Pinot Noir . Forget about secondary aromas here we are already in the rarified realm of tertiary. As we mellow and age the best comes out. Not the fresh and inquisitive bounty of youth but the mellow , gentle wisdom of old.
2013 Pinot Noir. Not available. Still sleeping in the old barrels of above. Ran out of topping up wine , had to open bottles of other pinot noir vintages to replace the thirsty “angel’s share”.Will be ready when it is ready.
2014 Pinot Noir. Non expected. The vingtage was too cool and too wet for my liking. Had purchased fresh barrels for this vintage but they will have to wait. Stay tuned.
